Transciption: | EDITH ALICE HUMPHRIES Death and Funeral The death occurred of Edith Alice Humphries, fourth daughter of Herbert and Norah Humphries, of 3, Park street, Newbury, on February 10th. She had been ill for four and a half years, having been at the Peppard and Abingdon Sanatoriums for nearly four years. The funeral took place on February 15th, at the Newtown road Cemetery. The Rev C B Clayton officiated at the graveside, and the Rev. L R Majendie took the first part of the service at the Parish Church. The mourners were: Father and mother, Bert and Harry (brothers), Linda, Mabel, Nelly and Norah (sisters), Mr R Maskell (brother-in-law) Mrs H Humphries (sister-in-law), Mr A T Curry (uncle); and Mrs Gibbs cousin). Wreaths were sent by Mum and Dad; Harry, Lill and the boys; Lin, Dick and Roy; Mabel, Nelly Nora and little Gladys; Bert, Bessie and Johnnie; Auntie Allie and Uncle Arch; Grandma and Uncle Alf; Harry, Harold; an old school mate; Maud Blake; Gwen; Mr and Mrs Adams and Reg; Mrs Brown and family and Mr and Mrs Sturgess; from all at 16 Park street; Mr and Mrs Marshall and family; Mr and Mrs Stillman.
