Transciption: | ROBERT WEATHERBURN Death in the Road Mr Robert Weatherburn, aged 46, of 1 Stanley road, collapsed suddenly in Greenham road on Saturday, and died almost immediately. Some seventeen years ago he had double pneumonia, and this considerably weakened him. Quite a strong fellow before, he had never been the same since. He was employed at Messrs. Midwinter’s office in Cheap Street for the last ten years, and on Saturday morning seemed all right with the exception that he complained of the cold. He worked as usual during the morning, and started home at one o’clock for dinner. When outside Dr Unwin’s house in Greenham road he was seized with hemorrhage. Dr Unwin was called, and took him home, but he died almost immediately. Mr Weatherburn, who leaves a widow, for many years worked with Messrs Waterlow, stationers of London, before taking up his employment with Messrs Midwinter. He was regarded by all who knew him as an exceptionally good accountant. No inquest was necessary. The funeral takes place tomorrow (Friday) |
