Recorder's Notes | Emily Mary Ann was born Patience near Bath in 1841 & married Frederick, a Grocer,in 1867. In the 1871 census, Emily is recorded as an annuitant living as a lodger in Bray with her eldest son & a 3 day old baby daughter while Frederick & his brother Thomas were both serving prison sentences in Reading Gaol. He came to Newbury & worked as a prvision merchant in Bartholomew St. They had about 13 children, several of whom died at birth & 2 of whom are buried with their mother. Frederick married again in Yorkshire in 1900 was a colliery manager. Frederick's name is wrongly spelt on the headstone as Frederic Source: ancestry.co.uk |
