William Everett
1799-1883
William was a Gardener (Domestic/Jobbing) he was baptised on the 28th April 1799 in Hungerford Berkshire the son of Mark and Mary Everett (nee Oram) who were married on the 5th July 1795 at Holy Trinity Dartford Kent.
His father Mark was a Collar Maker/ Collar and Harness Maker. He was born c1769 in Bungay Suffolk and died aged 90 in 1855 he was laid to rest on the 18th May at St Mary Greenham.
His mother Mary was baptised on the 16th May 1773 in Hungerford Berkshire the daughter of John and Elizabeth Oram (nee Rosier) who were married on the 21st March 1773 in Hungerford. Mary died aged 74 in 1845 she was laid to rest on the 30th March at St Mary Greenham.
In 1815 William (15) was recorded living in Moss’s Yard in the City, Newbury with his parents Mark (45) and Mary (45) and his sister Mary (11).
He was recorded living in Greenham Street Thatcham in 1841 and 1851, Golding’s Yard Greenham in 1861 and the Newbury Workhouse In 1871 and 1881.
He died in the Workhouse aged 84 on the 14th January 1883 and was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 17th January
