John Eccles Quinton (1791-1880)
John was born in Lymington, Hampshire and became a Master Baker and Confectioner. He is listed under Bakers in Fordingbridge in Pigot’s Directory of 1828.
He married Elizabeth Pardey in Boldre, Hampshire in 1815.
After her death, he married Charlotte Shephard in Fordingbridge in 1834.
John Eccles Quinton, a baker, a widower, of Fordingbridge on the 3rd (possibly 4th) of July 1834 m Charlotte Seppard, who was born in Fordingbridge in Hampshire in 1813. Daughter of Mr. Sheppard a boot and shoe maker
They lived in the Fordingbridge area, then Porchester, Fareham and Newbury. In 1861 they are in the Crescent, Speen and Charlotte’s mother, Susan, is with them. Charlotte died in 1868 and was buried in Newtown Road Cemetery.
John is living in 10 Staples Yard near 32 Northbrook Street in 1871 and still a Confectioner. His granddaughter Emily, age 12, is with him. He died in 1880 and was buried in Newtown Road Cemetery on 10th January, 1880.

Henry George 1829-1879. He was born in Fordingbridge and was a Baker.
Emma 1829 - , born in Fordingbridge.
Children from his second marriage to Charlotte:
John Samuel 1836-1840, born in Fordingbridge.
Helen 1838-1910, born in Fordingbridge. She marries John Staples of Newbury in Portsea in 1882.
Caroline 1839-1913, born in Fordingbridge. She marries Henry Wolfe in Portsmouth in 1871.
Harriet Anne 1850-1933, born in Fordingbridge. She marries Joseph Andrews in Newbury in 1870.
