OBITUARY. -
By the death of Mr. William Waite another old and much respected tradesman of the town has been removed.
Mr. Waite was a native of Brightwaltham, but resided during the greater part of his life in Cheap-street, Newbury, where he carried on the business of a baker. For many years he held the contract for bread at the Woodhay district of Kingsclere Union, where, by his genial kind disposition, he was much esteemed.
He was also for upwards of thirty years a local preacher in connection with the Congregational body.
He died rather suddenly, having previously been in his usual health. |
