William Nash
c1804-1878
William was born in Middlesex. He married Amy Tomkins on the 24th July 1834 in Aldermaston Berkshire. (Amy was born c1803 in Newbury the daughter of Joseph and Ann Tomkins)
In 1841 William and Amy were living in Northbrook Street Newbury and William was working as a Carter. In 1851 they were recorded living at 12 Simmons Yard, Newbury and William was now working as a General Labourer.
Amy died aged 52 in 1856 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 28th January.
William remarried in 1858 in Newbury his 2nd wife was a widow, Hannah Curtis (nee Moore), born c1792 in Shaw Berkshire. They were living in Bartholomew Street Newbury in 1861, William was working as a Garden Labourer and Hannah was working as a Needlewoman.
Hannah died aged 82 on the17th December 1874 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 21st December.
William died aged 74 on the23rd December 1878 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 26th December.
