CLERGYMAN DECEASED. March 27, at Pau, after two days' illness, aged 69, the Rev. Thomas Hubbard, late Vicar of St. John's, Newbury.

ADDINGTON.—lntelligence has reached England of the death, at Pau, of the Rev. Thomas Hubbard, brother of the Right Hon. J. G. Hubbard, M.P., which event occurred somewhat suddenly on Wednesday from apoplexy. The deceased was for some years vicar of St. John's, Newbury, having built the church and rectory at his own cost, but he gave up the living in consequence of impaired health.

CHURCH NEWS The remains of the Rev. Thomas Hubbard (brother to the Right Hon. J.G. Hubbard, M.P. {member for the City of London}), formerly incumbent at St. John’s, Newbury, who recently expired suddenly at Pau, will be conveyed to England, via Bordeaux and interred in the Newbury Cemetery on Saturday, the 27th inst.

ADDINGTON—The Late Rev. T. Hubbard.— On Saturday the remains of the Rev. Thomas Hubbard, formerly vicar of St. John's, were interred in the Newbury Cemetery, in the presence of many spectators. The first part of the burial service was conducted in St. John's Church by the vicar (Rev. Henry Morgan), and the concluding portion in the cemetry, by the Rev. C. Parish, a relative. The Mayor and Town Council, the local clergy, and the principal residents were present. I Among the mourners were the widow, with her sons ! and daughters, Mr. J. G. Hubbard, M.P., and Mr. E. Hubbard, M.P.

THE LATE REV. T. HUBBARD.—
The remains of this deceased gentleman arrived in England from France on Tuesday, and were to reach Newbury last evening, to be placed in the Cemetery chapel till Friday, when they will be removed to St. John's Church, where, after an appropriate service, they will be removed to their last resting place in the cemetery at mid-day on Saturday.
