Ann Edmunds

Ann Edmonds

She was born on 29 April 1798, daughter of James Higgs and Mary Anne, nee Elliot. She married widower Thomas Edmonds on 19 July 1819 at St. Bartholomew the Great, City of London in the presence of Benson Higgs and Elizabeth Higgs. Her husband was a well-established Cabinet Maker and Upholsterer and after his death in 1862 she carried on the business of Edmonds & Son, herself an Upholsterer (Master) with her daughters Elizabeth Ann and Maria.  She died on 11 March 1875 aged 76 years and was buried on 17 March 1875 alongside her husband Thomas Edmonds who predeceased her on 9 March 1862.
