1874-1875

Frederick George was born in Newbury, Berkshire, the son of John and Eliza Tegg (nee Brooker) who were married in 1869 (marriage registered in Kingsclere).

His father John was born in 1847 in Thatcham, Berkshire, the son of James and Hannah Tegg (nee Frude) who were married in 1841 (marriage registered in Newbury). John died aged 61 in 1908, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 2nd September

His mother Eliza was born c1850 in Kingsclere, Hampshire, the daughter of George and Harriet Brooker (nee Emmens) who were married in 1849 (marriage registered in Kingsclere). Eliza died aged 42 in 1892 (death registered in Wallingford)

Frederick George’s siblings were:

Harry Edward born 1871 in Newbury

Walter John born 1873 in Newbury

Frank born 1876 (died aged 5 months, buried in the NRC on the 21st August)

Charles born 1877 in Newbury

Ellen Elizabeth born c1880 in Newbury

Agnes Emily born c1882 in Bradfield (died aged 0 in 1882 death registered in Bradfield)

Annie Emily born 1883 in Bradfield

Frederick James born 1885 in Wallingford

Agnes Mary born 1888 in Wallingford

 

Fredrick’s father was a Police Constable.

The family were recorded living in Montague Place, Newtown Road, Newbury in 1871, Police Station House, Sulhamstead Abbots, Bradfield, Berkshire in 1881 and Honey Lane, Cholsey, Berkshire in 1891.

In 1901 his father John was living in Headley, Hampshire with his children Nellie (21), (Ellen recorded as Nellie) Frederick (15) and Agnes (11)

 

Frederick George died aged 3 months on the 2nd January 1875, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 6th January.
