FATAL GUN ACCIDENT.
A distressing accident which proved immediately fatal, occurred on Monday at Sheldon Park Farm, near Basingstoke. It appears that Edmund Peter, the second son of Mr. Charles Yells, was out with a gun, which he placed for a time under a hedge; in taking it up again the trigger caught in a twig and the contents were lodged in his body, death ensuing almost immediately.
The deceased was eighteen years of age, tall, and well-built. Mr. Yells and his family are well known in this neighbourhood, having occupied a farm at Walcot in the parish of Kintbury.
The body will be brought to this neighbourhood to be interred.
