Transciption: | WILLIAM CHUBB (senior) THE LATE MR CHUBB The past week has witnessed the decease of another of the old inhabitants of Speenhamland, in the removal of Mr. Chubb, who has for a long time been in failing health, and afflicted with the growing infirmities of age. His death which occurred almost suddenly, was therefore scarcely a matter of surprise to his friends and neighbours, but their sorrow at his loss will not be less deeply felt. Mr. Chubb had attained to the age of 80, and was regarded with the highest respect and esteem by all with whom he was acquainted. For many years he filled the office of surveyor to the Commissioners of Speenhamland.
