1861 c shows William Hamblin as a blacksmith at the corn wharf (very near back lane), aged 55, born thatcham with wfe Susanna, 53, a blacksmiths wife, born Brimpton, and daug Esther, 29, a dressmaker, sons Joshua, 23, a sawyer, Edwin, 17, a groom and Emma, 14, a dressmaker and 2 boarders age 7 and 1 |
