William Elton

William Elton

He was born c. 1795 or 1798 in Newbury. He is recorded in the 1841 census as an inmate and pauper at the Newbury Union Workhouse. He is a widower with 4 children and a Carpenter by trade. He remained there until his death aged 73 years in April 1871 and he was buried on 20 April 1871.
