Elizabeth Norris
c1812-1869
Elizabeth was born in Newbury she was the daughter of William & Sarah Norris (nee Hopgood) who married on the 7th July 1801 in Andover Hampshire. William was a Glover (1801, 1841 and 1851) and Breeches Maker (1815).
Elizabeth’s siblings were:
William born 9/4/1802
James born 5/5/1803
Henry born 1/11/1805
George born 20/9/1807
Mary born 31/1/1809
In 1815 the family were living in Cheap Street Newbury
The 1841 census records Elizabeth as a Female Servant in the household of Henry Godwin (a Solicitor) living in the parish of St Nicolas Newbury.
Elizabeth died aged 57 on the 10th January 1869 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 16th January.
