Lucy Johanna Bolton nee Saunders was born in Long Parish Hants.
Her father was a farm baliff and the family moved to several different farms in Hampshire and Wiltshire during their childhood.
Lucy Johanna Bolton married John Edward Bolton in 1887 and worked as a stationer and presumably lived above the shop in Cheap Street.
They had 3 children 2 of them dying young (see John Bolton). Lucy lived in Andover Road and died there in April 1942
