ELIZA BUNNY
THE LATE MISS BUNNY

A familiar figure in the church life of the town has been removed by the death last Friday at her residence in Donnington-square, of Miss Eliza Bunny, aged 78, and the eldest daughter of the late Dr. Joseph Bunny, of Northbrook-street, a leading practitioner of the town and for many years Borough Corner. The deceased lady had been identified with St Mary's, Speenhamland, throughout life, and besides managing the savings club for many years, was also secretary of the Newbury Deanery Women's Missionary Association, for which movement she worked with great ardour and assiduity.
There was a crowded congregation at the funeral service, which was held at St Mary's Church on Tuesday afternoon. The Vicar (Rev. W.J. Holloway) conducted the service, the lesson being read by the Rev. C.L. Jeayes, rector of Peasemore, and formerly vicar of St Mary's, and the Rev. H.S. Bunny, of Malvern, took part in the burial service.

Among those present at the church were the Rector (Rev. L.R. Majendie) and the Rev. A.G.P. Baines. etc.
The body was encased in a coffin of plain oak with brass fittings and engraved plate and buried in the family vault at the Old Cemetery. The mourners were Miss M. E. Bunny (sister), Mrs. Gooch (sister), Mr. J. Bunny and Mr. G.W. Gooch (nephews), Miss Wells (cousin), Mrs. R.M. Fisher, Miss Meeking, Mr. C.H. Gibbs, Miss Hill, Miss Joyce, and Miss Naylor.
