ELIZABETH MARY IVENS

THE LATE MISS IVENS

Much sorrow has been occasioned by the death of Miss E.M. Ivens, who latterly had been conducting a millinery establishment in Bartholomew Street.
She had recently undergone an operation, followed by an attack of influenza, the after effects of which proved fatal.
The funeral took place on Tuesday at Newtown-road Cemetery, the Rev. C.V. Pike officiating.
The relatives and friends in attendance, included Mr. Frank Distin (brother-in-law) Bath, Mr. C. Ivens (cousin Bristol), Miss Bronsdon, assistant to deceased; Mrs. Bronsdon, Mrs. Hodges, Nurse Hawtin and Nurse A. Hawtin (Queen's Nurses), Mrs. Harford and others.
A large number of floral emblems of sympathy were received, amongst which were those from Sister and brother-in-law, Maggie and Frank, Uncle, Aunt and cousins from Bristol, Aunt, Uncle and Cousins from Hallow Worcester, Mrs. Bronsdon and family, Mr. and Mrs Wise, Mr. and Mrs. Ravenor, Queen's Nurses, London-road, all at Hollis House, a few friends and neighbours.

The polished elm coffin was inscribed,

"Elizabeth Mary Ivens, Died March 7., 1919 aged 34 years"
