Transciption: | The funeral of the late Mrs Harriet Crook of Park Street took place on Tuesday afternoon at Newbury Cemetery, the Reverend A F Bliss Curate of St Nicholas officiating. The mourners were Private and Mrs F Allam (daughter and son-in-law); Mr and Mrs Adams (niece); Mr and Mrs Brown (nephew); Mr W Challis (brother); miss Vera Brown; mr Lovell; miss Kelly. Floral offerings were contributed by her daughter and Frank; her sister and brother; her brother and sister (Donnington); jim, Lizzie, Doris and Nora; Jim Louie and children; Eileen and Little Jack; and Mrs E Allam; mr and Mrs Haley; Mrs Richmond; Maud and Mary; Mrs Penford; Rose Kelly; Sergeant A H Lovell, first Berkshire Yeomanry; sergeant Major and Mrs R Spencer. The coffin was inscribed. "Harriet Crook died June 17 1917 aged 63. The Undertakers were Missus Penford and son Northbrook Street |
