Transciption: | The late Miss Catherine Pratt. The Funeral of the late Miss Catherine Pratt, sister of Mr Councillor T H Pratt took place on Monday afternoon, the Reverend J W Hartford conducting the service at the Congregational Church and the Reverend J W Neville officiated at the interment in the cemetery. The mourners where Mr T H Pratt, Mr E J Pratt, Miss E Pratt (brothers and sister), Misses H and D Pratt (nieces), Mrs W B Pratt (Sister-in-law), Mrs Crawshaw, Mrs Chalk. Those present in the church and at the graveside included Mr J Rankin, Mr Slight, Mr and Mrs H Webb, Mr S Penford, Mrs C Atwell, the Misses Webb, Mrs Staples, Miss Walter, Miss Thompson, Miss Salway, Miss Midwinter, Miss Baker, Mrs B Gould, Mrs H Midwinter, miss Nash and many others. Floral offerings were from Tom and Emily, her brother Edward and nieces Hilda and Dorothy. Will and Emily, Mrs E L Staples, Mr and Mrs Penford, Mr and Mrs Crawshaw, Mr and Mrs Maccabee and family, Mrs Marshall Mabel. The coffin plate was inscribed. "Catherine Pratt died may 17 1917 aged 65". The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mrs Penford and son |
