Muriel Gladys Keep
Muriel was born on 4 March 1895. She was the youngest of four Children born to William and Harriet Keep (nee Wherrell) of Bartholomew Street, Newbury.
In 1899 when Muriel was 4 1/2 her father William died.
The 1901 Census shows the family still living in Bartholomew Street. There is *no occupation shown for Muriel's mother Harriet. Her elder brother William is working as a Commission Agent, sister Alice Annie a dressmaker and sisters Lena and Muriel would both have been at school.
By 1911 the family are living at 75 Bartholomew Street and William is no longer living at home. Harriet is shown as living by private means, Alice Annie has now become the manageress of a Dyers Shop, Lena is a Cashier at a Chemist and Muriel is at school.
Muriel never married and died at 74 Bartholomew Street, Newbury aged 91.
