Richard Thomas Brazier
1896-1984
Richard was born on the 13th May 1896 in Newbury Berkshire, the son of Richard and Elizabeth Mary Brazier (nee Holloway) who were married on the 3rd July 1892 at St Nicolas Church Newbury.
His father Richard was born in 1861 in Newbury and was a House Painter.
His mother Elizabeth was born in 1865 in Aldermaston, Berkshire, the daughter of Thomas and Matilda Holloway (nee Rodd) who were married in 1862 (marriage registered in Newbury)
Richard and Elizabeth also had the following children:

Twins: Kathleen Lucy and Kenneth Ernest James born 20th April 1898
In 1901 Richard (4) was living at 24 West Street, Newbury with his parents Richard (39), Elizabeth (36) and his siblings Florence (6) and Kathleen and Kenneth (2).
In 1911 Richard (14) was recorded as a Clerk (Political Agency), at 1 Windsor Place, West Street, Newbury, the home of David and Mary Ann Geater. Also recorded in the household was his younger brother Kenneth (13), both boys were recorded as visitors.
By 1913 Richard and his parents were living at 63 Gloucester Road, Newbury.
Richard served in the Royal Engineers during the 1st World War.
In 1921 He was working as a Clerk and was back home living with his parents and siblings at 63 Gloucester Road. By 1935 the family had moved to 91 Newtown Road, Newbury.
Electoral Registers record Richard Thomas living in Newtown Road until at least 1951.
Richard died aged 88 on the 31st August 1984 in Exeter, he was brought to Newbury and was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 10th October.
