OLD WASH COMMON RESIDENT
DEATH OF MRS. E. TAYLOR
Wash Common lost a great neighbour and respected friend when Mrs. Elizabeth Taylor, aged 66, died at Oak Lodge Nursing Home on April 24th, after a short illness. She and her husband Mr. William J. Taylor came to live at 22 Falkland-road in 1914. In the years since she had taken an energetic part in many activities. She was a member of st. George's Mother's Union and in St George's Church choir. The Women's Institute will miss her greatly. Besides these and other interests she found time for many acts of kindness for those deserving practical sympathy.

She leaves a husband and two married sons, one of whom, Mr. Gordon S. Taylor lives in Trinidad, British West Indies.

The choral funeral service on Friday at St. George's Church was conducted by the Rev. A. J. Overton, priest in charge, assisted by the Rev. A.J.W Pritchard, vicar of St John's, Newbury.

The mourners were Mr. William J. Taylor (husband), Mr. William H.J. Taylor (son), Mrs. F. Steel and Mrs. E. Pollard (sisters-in-law), Mr. A.W. C. Bowyer (brother-in-law), Mr. R. Pollard (nephew), the Misses A. and M. Jacobs (cousins), and Mr. W.H. Edwards.

There follows a long list of others attending.

he numerous wreaths included tributes from the organisations I which Mrs. Taylor had been a member.

The interment took place at Newbury-road Cemetery, the Rev. Overton officiating.
