Recorder's Notes | Herbert was the youngest of 6 children born in Enborne on 22 March 1908 to Emily & John, a house painter of 8 Roseberry Cottages, Wash Common (1911 census). By 1935 he had moved to 18 Battle Rd, Newbury. In the 1939 Register he is recorded as being a Chairmaker, living with sister Annie & Brother Frederick. |
