John Eatwell
He was born in 1866 in Newbury, the third son of Robert Eatwell, Furniture Maker, and Sarah, nee Farmer. By 1881, aged 14 years, he had joined the family business first as his father’s assistant and then as an Upholsterer at Victoria House, Market Street. He married Louisa Fry in 1909 in Newbury and by 1911 they were living at Newtown, Thatcham. He died on 2 June 1922 aged 54 years at Bowood, Lansdowne Avenue, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, and he was buried on 7 June 1922. Probate was granted to Warren Heanes Pitman and Frank Doveton Bazett, Solicitors.
