There is no burial register information available for Sarah Naylor.

Stillborn children were not recorded in the burial register, only in the cemetery accounts.

Recorder's Notes | Sarah Naylor was born to John, a glazier, & Ann, a Laundress, of West Mills, Newbury. She was a dressmaker in the 1851 census. By 1861, her father was dead and she lived with her mother in Bartholomews Almshouses. No records can be found until the 1891 census when she is recorded as working as a dressmaker and visiting another dressmaker in 3,Trafalgar Place, Bartholomew St. Louisa Turner, nee Naylor, was sister to Sarah & grew up in West Mills. She was a live-in domestic servant in 1851 to Mason's, Grocer's, of West Mills &, a Cook to John Staples, Ironmonger of Bartholomew St in 1861. In 1874,she became Thomas Turner's 2nd wife, bringing up his three daughters by his first wife, Mary. Thomas Turner was born to an Agricultural Labourer & his wife, Sarah, who lived in The City, a poor area of small cottages in St John's, Newbury. He continued to live there after his marriage to Mary Adams in 1863, working in a Candle Making factory at 48, Bartholomew St which he later took over. When Mary died in 1873 he was left to bring up three daughters and he married Louisa Naylor in Newbury in 1874. He was still a Candle maker's porter in the 1881 census but was described as a Tallow Chandler at 48, Bartholomew St in an 1887 directory. After the trade died out they moved to Ernest Cottage, 7, York Rd, Newbury & his occupation was described as an Oilman in the 1891 census. He had retired from this trade by the 1901 census when his occupation was given as a Market Gardener, and again in the 1911 census. Sarah Naylor
1826-1894
Sarah was baptised on the 10th December 1826 at St Nicolas Church Newbury, the daughter of Thomas and Ann Naylor (nee Clements) who were married on the 21st March 1821 at St Mary the Virgin Speen.
Sarah’s father Thomas Nailor/Nailer was baptised on the 29th August 1790 at St Nicolas Church Newbury, the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Nailer (nee Bird) who were married on the 1st February 1790 at St Nicolas Church Newbury.
Her mother Ann was born in Colthrop, Thatcham she was baptised on the 9th July 1786 in Thatcham the daughter of Thomas and Sarah Clements (nee Emmory) who were married on the 20th March 1786 at St Mary Thatcham.
Thomas and Ann also had the following children:

Thomas Henry baptised 20th April 1823
George baptised 24th July 1825 (died 1829)
Hannah born c1832
Louisa born c1834
(The St Nicolas Church Newbury baptism registers record Thomas as a Plumber in 1823 then a Glazier on George and Sarah’s baptism records)
In 1841 Sarah (14) was living in West Mills, Newbury with her parents Thomas (50), a Glazier and Ann (50) and her siblings, Thomas (15), a Carpenter, Hannah (9) and Louisa (7).
The 1851 census records Sarah (23) as a Dressmaker living with her parents Thomas (62) and Ann (63), they were still living in West Mills and Thomas was again recorded as a Glazier.
Sarah’s father died aged 62 in 1851 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 21st October
In 1861 Sarah (31) and her mother Ann (76) were recorded living in Bartholomew Almshouses Newbury Ann was recorded as Formerly Painter’s Widow and Sarah was recorded as a Dressmaker.
Ann Nailor died in 1863 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 27th January.
In 1871 Sarah (39) (surname recorded on ancestry as Hartos) was working as a Needlewoman, she was living alone at 3 Trafalgar Place Newbury.
In 1881 and 1891 Sarah (Nailor) was recorded as a Dressmaker, living at 3 Trafalgar Place, in both census records a Frances Aplin was also recorded living with her, Frances was also recorded as a Dressmaker.
Sarah died aged 65 on the 12th March 1894 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery with her sister Louisa Turner and her brother-in-law Thomas Turner. (Also recorded on the memorial inscription is a William Panchaud. William was Thomas Turner’s son–in-law, he married Thomas’s daughter Alice Mary in 1893)
