There is no burial register information available for George Gough.

George Gough

George was born in Newbury Berkshire he was baptised on the 29th June 1828 at St Nicolas Church Newbury, the son of Samuel and Elizabeth Gough (nee Marshman) who were married on the 16th June 1814 at St Nicolas Newbury.
Samuel and Elizabeth also had the following children (all baptised at St Nicolas Newbury):

William 21/1/1820 (died aged 11 months buried 11th December 1820)

Samuel 24/3/1824 (died aged 4 months buried 16th July 1824 at St Nicolas Newbury)
Eliza 30/10/1825 (died aged 1+ buried on the 26th April 1827 at St Nicolas Newbury)

In 1815 George’s parents Samuel (22), a Corn Porter and Elizabeth (22) and his sister Harriet (an infant), were living on the east side of Newtown Lane Newbury.
George’s father died aged 43 in 1836 he was buried on the 16th August at St Nicolas Newbury.
His mother remarried on the 16th September 1837 at St Nicolas Church Newbury, her 2nd husband was Robert Abel, a widower.
In 1841 George (13) was recorded living in Old Newtown Road Newbury with his step-father Robert (65), an Army Pensioner, (surname recorded as Habel on ancestry) his mother Elizabeth (45), his brother James (20), a Corn Porter’s Labourer and a Samuel Williams (20), a B Labourer (B Labourer possibly Bricklayer’s Labourer).
George’s step-father died aged 73 in 1844 he was buried on the 6th April at St Nicolas Newbury
In 1851 George Goff (23), a Bricklayer, was recorded as a Lodger at the George and Dragon Blewbury Berkshire.
George married Elizabeth Dibley on the 27th August 1860 at St John’s Church Newbury
(Elizabeth was born 1840 in Newbury the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Dibley nee Hill who were married on the 3rd January 1820 at St Nicolas Church Newbury)
George and Elizabeth had the following children:

Esther 1877 (died aged 5 on the 4th September 1882, buried in the NRC on the 8th September)

George was recorded as an Agricultural Labourer in 1861, a Labourer in 1871, a Bricklayer in 1881 and a General Labourer in 1891. The 1861, 1871 and 1881 census records all record the family living in the City Newbury.
George’s mother died aged 84 in 1873 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 27th September
His wife Elizabeth died aged 47 in 1886 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 13th September
The 1891 census records George (62) in the Newbury Workhouse. He died aged 64 on the 28th January 1893 and was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery (burial date unknown)
