Elizabeth Bullock
1865-1876
Elizabeth was born in Newbury the daughter of Joseph and Harriet Bullock (nee Heath) who were married in 1862 (marriage registered March Q in Newbury).
Her father Joseph was born in Newbury c1843 the son of William and Maria Bullock (nee New) who were married in Chaddleworth in 1826.
Her mother Harriet was born c1840 in Newbury the daughter of James and Leahtia Heath (nee Hine) who were married on the 1st December 1834 at St Nicolas Church Newbury.
Joseph and Harriet also had the following children (all born in Newbury):
Esther Bullock Heath 1860 (born before her parents married)
Joseph 1863
Benjamin 1868 (died aged 4 in 1871 laid to rest in the NRC on the 6th September)
Alfred 1871
Arthur 1874
Harriet Louisa 1878
Tizzy Maria 1880
Benjamin 1883
The 1871 census records Joseph (28), as a Bricklayer, living in Old Road (Old Newtown Road) Newbury with Harriet (29), Esther (11), Joseph (7), Elizabeth (5) and Benjamin (2).
Elizabeth died aged 10 on the 27th February 1876 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 1st March.
In 1881 the family were again recorded living in Old Newtown Road Newbury. Joseph (38) was still working as a Bricklayer.
By 1891 the family had moved to Fifth Road Enborne Berkshire. Joseph was recorded in the census for this year as a Horse Slaughterer. Both the 1901 and 1911 census records also record Joseph as a Horse Slaughterer living in Fifth Road.
Harriet died aged 71 in 1913 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 8th November
Joseph died aged 80 in 1924 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 9th February
