John Tuck
c1785-1861
According to the 1851 census John was born Borne, Norfolk.
He married Mary (unknown).
John and Mary had a son Edward baptised on the 24th August 1827 at St Peter & St Paul Farningham Kent (John recorded as a Labourer, from Newbury Berks, travelling through Farningham)
They also had the following children baptised at St Nicolas Church Newbury.
Joseph 10th June 1830 (John recorded as a Hawker)
Twins: Mary Ann and Solomon 25th September 1833 (John recorded as a Lodging House Keeper on the baptism record) (Mary Ann died aged 10 weeks, she was buried on the 16th December 1833 at St Nicolas Newbury)
Mark 22nd January 1837 (John recorded as a Lodging House Keeper)
John was widowed in 1837, Mary died aged 40, she was laid to rest on the 6th February, at St Nicolas Newbury.
The 1851 census records John (66) as a Lodging House Keeper living in Old Newtown Road, Newbury. (Surname recorded as Trick on ancestry)
He died in 1861 and was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 18th January. (The GRO website records his age at death as 74, the NBI records his age at death as 78)
