Elizabeth Amelia Rose Lovelock
1898-1899
Elizabeth was born in Newbury, Berkshire, the daughter of Richard and Mary Louisa (aka Louisa) Lovelock (nee Chivers) who were married in 1897 (marriage registered in Newbury).
Elizabeth died aged 6 months on the 21st April 1899 in Kennet Road, Newbury and was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 24th April.
Elizabeth’s family:
Her father Richard was born on the 17th August 1867 in Greenham, Berkshire, the son of Richard and Ellen Lovelock (nee Smith) who were married in 1861 at St Mary’s Church Greenham, Berkshire.
Her mother Mary Louisa (aka Louisa) was born in 1871 in Donnington, Berkshire, the daughter of James and Martha Chivers (nee James) who were married in 1864 (marriage registered in Newbury)
Richard and Mary Louisa also had the following children:
William Richard born 1900
Frederick Thomas born 1904
Arthur Charles born 1909
In 1901 Richard (34) a Builder Carter, Louisa (27) and their son William (6 months) were recorded living in Vines Cottages, Kennet Road, Newbury.
The 1911 census records the family living at 7 Vine Cottages, West Mills, Newbury. Richard was recorded as a General Labourer
The 1939 Register records Richard, as a Retired General Labourer, living at 95 Henwick Lane, Thatcham with his wife Mary.
Richard died aged 75 in 1942 and Mary Louisa died aged 77 in 1949 (both deaths registered in Newbury).
