There is no burial register information available for Eliza Flitter.

Stillborn children were not recorded in the burial register, only in the cemetery accounts.

John Flitter was born circa 1839, probably in Thatcham, although his birth place recorded in the censuses varied and also included Newbury (in 1871) and Cold Ash (in 1881). When he married his second wife Elizabeth his father was stated to be William Flitter.
In the 1841 census he was recorded in Thatcham with his father William, Eliza Flitter aged circa 35 (probably his mother) and four siblings. In the 1851 census he was recorded living as a lodger in Thatcham and an agricultural labourer. No trace of him in the 1861 census.
John married Fanny Moss in Newbury in 1862. Fanny was born in Newbury in circa 1835. In the 1841 census she was living in The City in Newbury along with William Moss aged 75, Caroline Moss aged 60 and John Moss aged 40. William might well have been her grandfather. In the 1851 census Fanny was recorded as an inmate of Newbury Union Workhouse and her occupation was servant. No trace of her in the 1861 census.
John and Fanny had 4 children, all born in Newbury, Annie Louisa (1866), Rose (1869) along with twins Clara (1872) and Eliza (1872).
In the 1871 census John and Fanny were recorded with daughters Annie, Louisa and Rose in Wash Road in Newbury, John was a labourer.
Fanny died in February 1873 aged 48 and she was buried at Newtown Road Cemetery on 22 February.
Annie and Rose entered the National School in Newbury on 2 February and 9 February 1874 respectively. Both then left on 18 February 1874 to join the infant school. The family were living in The City in Newbury at the time.
The following year later Annie Louisa died aged 9 and she was buried on 13 December 1875 at Newtown Road Cemetery.
John remarried on 27 July 1879 at St John the Evangelist in Newbury to Elizabeth Hill. Elizabeth was the daughter of Thomas Dodson and Elizabeth, nee Farr, Hill. She was baptized on 23 July 1828 at St Nicolas in Newbury, her father Thomas was recorded as a tailor. In the 1841 census Elizabeth was recorded with her parents and five siblings in Middleton Court in Newbury, her father Thomas was a tailor. Elizabeth was also recorded with her parents in Newbury in the 1851 and 1861 censuses, in 1851 in Bartholomew Street and in 1861 in Andover Road, she was a servant in 1851 and a school mistress in 1861. Her father Thomas Dodson Hill died on 7 November 1870 and was buried at Newtown Road Cemetery on 14 November 1870. In the census the following year Elizabeth was living with her mother in Wash Road in Newbury and was a laundress. Elizabeth’s mother Elizabeth Hill was buried at Newtown Road Cemetery on 13 January 1890.
In the 1881 census John and Elizabeth along with John’s children Rose, Eliza and Clara were recorded in The City in Newbury. John was a malster labourer. Ten years later in the 1891 census John and Elizabeth along with children Eliza and Clara were recorded in Gas House Road in Greenham, John was a malster.
John died in December 1896 aged 56 and he was buried on 23 December at Newtown Road Cemetery after a service at St John the Evangelist.
Three years later Eliza, daughter of John and Fanny, died aged 26 on 8 March 1899. She was buried at Newtown Road Cemetery on 15 March. An announcement appeared in the Newbury Weekly News dated 16 March as below.
FLITTER – Mar. 8, at Wakefield’s Buildings, Eliza Flitter, aged 26.
In the 1901 census Elizabeth was living by herself at Wakefield Cottages in Stroud Green. She died in March 1907 at Manningford Bruce in Wiltshire and she was buried at Newtown Road Cemetery on 15 March.
Rose Flitter, daughter of John and Fanny, married Charles Collins on 22 February 1892 at St John the Evangelist in Newbury. She died in June 1893 aged 23 and was buried on 23 June 1893 at Newtown Road Cemetery.
