Recorder's Notes | Willliam & Albert were 2 of 3 sons and 8 children born to William Edwards of Chilton, Wilts.,& Jane Mills of Kintbury, Berks. They married in Kintbury on 2 Dec., 1876. William worked as a Bricklayer's Labourer and Jane as a General Servant. Having lived in Kintbury, where William Charles was born, the family moved to Greenham Fields, Greenham and then by 1891 to 5, Nursery Cottages, Old Newtown Rd, Newbury where Albert was born. They were both living in Greenham when they died, possibly at Woodbine Cottages, Greenham Rd, where the family were living in 1901 and where their father died that year. Their mother died in 1931, aged 79, at 4, Connnaught Rd, Newbury off Mill Lane. NB Mrs Paterson recorded William as being 6 years old not 16 when he died. Sources: Ancestry records; NRC Bur Recds |
