Victor Henry Sexton
1897-1898
Victor was born in Newbury, Berkshire, the son of James Charles and Sarah Ann Sexton (nee Occomore) who were married in 1885 (marriage registered in Kingsclere)
Victor died aged 11 months on the 17th February 1898, he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road cemetery on the 25th February.
Victor’s family:
His father James was baptised on the 19th January 1862 in Chute, Wiltshire, the son of Francis and Dorcas Sexton (nee Searle).
His mother Sarah was born 1863 in Charlton Hampshire the daughter of George and Maria Occomore (nee Roach).
Victor’s siblings were:
Agnes Jane Occomore born 1881 (before Sarah married James)
Albert Ernest Occomore born 1884 (before Sarah married James)
Frederick George born 1887
William Sidney born 1890
Emily Maria born c1893
Lily May born 1899
Alfred John born c1902
Rosa Hilda born 1905
James worked as an Agricultural Labourer/Labourer.
In 1891 the family were living in Vernham Dean Hampshire. By 1897 the had moved to Newbury. The 1901 census records them living in Robert’s Yard (off Cheap Street). By 1911 they were living in Hurstbourne Tarrant, Hampshire.
James died aged 64 in 1921 and Sarah died aged 63 in 1925, both deaths were registered in Kingsclere.
