Evelyn Maud Pye
1896-1897
Evelyn Maud was born in Newbury the daughter of James and Priscilla Jane Pye (nee Evans) who were married in Newbury in 1891. James was a Tailor he was born c1862 in Bayswater London. Priscilla was born in 1872 in Agra India the daughter of Henry and Bridget Evans.

Evelyn died aged 9 months on the 7th July 1897 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 10th July. (Name spelt Eveline in the NRC burial records).
In 1901 the family were living in Waldegrave Place Newbury but by 1911 they had moved to 26 Northcroft Lane Newbury.
Evelyn’s father died aged 60 in 1922 in Newbury.
Her mother went on to marry Albert E Hiscock in 1927. Albert died aged 49 in 1932 in Reading.
The 1939 register records Evelyn’s mother as Priscilla J Hiscock born 12th November 1872, living at 8 Pembroke Road Newbury, also recorded in the household was her son Stanley A Pye (born as Arthur Stanley) 28th February 1898, a Postman and a Dorothy A Pye born 8th December 1905.
Priscilla J Hiscock died aged 94 in 1967 in Newbury.
