Headstone: STMO/ Thomas TRANTER/ who departed this life 25th. Of Feb. 1878/ in his 69th. year./ Deeply lamented./ "Lord have mercy upon us."/Also Harriet, his wife/ died March 25th. 1897 in her 83rd. Year./ "Until the daybreak and the shadows flee away."/Also of John Thomas/ son of the above died/ August. 15th. 1881 aged 30. "So shall he even be with the Lord."/ Also of Charles Beaufoy/ son of the above/ died Feb. 19th. 1888 aged 41. TRANTER The deceased will be remembered as having been for many years landlady of the Bricklayers’ Arms, Bartholomew-street, on retiring from which she left the town but subsequently returned, and the last few years of her life were spent with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W.K. Edwell. |
