Transciption: | Death of a Sonambulist* Mr. Albert Bowley aged 31. haulier. of Pembroke-place, died rather suddenly on Saturday morning. He was apparently in his usual health up till Friday. but was in the habit of walking in his sleep. and early on Friday, morning, he had a fit of sonambulism, and getting near the staircase, he fell down two or three stairs which did not produce any immediate injury, but caused him to feel bad. He was induced to send for the doctor and Dr. Hickman attended him, while the Parish Nurse remained with him the whole of the night. He died early on Saturday morning, and a postmortem examination revealed the fact that death was caused by the bursting of ulcers in the abdomen. Under the circumstances, the doctor being able to give a medical certificate no inquest was rendered necessary. The funeral took place at the Cemetery on Tuesday, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. J. A. Thomas. The mourners were the widow and daughter, brothers and sisters, and other relations. besides a number of friends, who attended to show their sympathy, which was further evidenced by a number of floral contributions. The coffin, elm with black fittings, was inscribed "Albert Bowley, died March 6th. 1897, aged 34 years.” Mr. F. W. Fullbrook was the undertaker.
