THOMAS PARR

The funeral of the late Mr. Thomas Parr, of Westcombe Villa, Crookham, eldest son of Mr. Stephen Parr, of Berry's Bank, Greenham, took place at Newbury Cemetery, where his wife lies, having died some 16 or 17 years ago.

 

The body was first taken to Thatcham Parish Church, where the burial service was read, the Vicar officiating. The mourners were Messrs. Henry and Stephen Parr (sons), Mrs. Clara Allen and Miss Parr (daughters), Mr. Anthony Allen (son-ln-law), Mrs. Parrs (daughters-in-law) the grandchildren, Mrs. Maten, &c.

 

Wreaths had been received from many friends. Mr. A. Bailey was undertaker. The coffin was of oak, with brass furniture, and bore the inscription: Thomas Parr, born Nov. 19, 1811; died June 16, 1895.
