Transciption: | BENJAMIN BALDWIN THE LATE MR. BENJAMIN BALDWIN The funeral took place on Thursday last week of Mr. Benjamin Baldwin, who died in the Newbury District Hospital the previous Sunday. The deceased was for fifty-one years a G.W.R. employee. The first part of the funeral service was in St. John's Church and the interment at the Newtown-road Cemetery. The Rev. R.H. Stenning officiated. The family mourners were Mrs. Baldwin (widow), Mrs. Day and Mrs. Pocock (daughters), Albert, Walter and William (sons), Mrs. A. Baldwin (daughter-in-law), Mr. E. Pocock (son-in-law). Also present at the church and at the graveside were Mr. and Mrs. G. Stratton, Mr. W. Stratton (representing Forester' Club), Inspector Stowell (Devizes), ex-Inspector Weston (Bradford-on-Avon), Mr. C. Girdler, Mr. A. Gibbs, Mr. C. Boshier, Mr. W. Peskett, Mr. and Mrs. Rowe, Mrs. Barnes, Mrs. Wells, Miss P. Hazell, Mrs. and Miss Sessions, Mrs. Brown, Mr. T. Foster and Mr. L. Foster. Beautiful flowers were sent from: Mother and family; Tom and Dolly (The Wharf); Dr. and Mrs. Every (London); Miss Williams (Putney), Anne McKechnie(London); Mrs. McKechnie and family (Kenton, Middlesex); Billy and May (Oxford); Neighbours, Railway Terrace; Mr. and Mrs. Rowe; Mrs. Hazell and family; Rose (Epsom); Sister Fan and Harry (London); a friend; Lucy, Jessie, Ada, Evelyn (London) Mr. and Mrs. Stowell (Devizes); “from the garden he loved so much”; Mrs. May and Peggy Hayes; Horace, Nob, Ciss (grandchildren); Mr. and Mrs. Knapp and family; Rene (grand-daughter); Pink, Fred, Dolly (Basingstoke);Mrs. P.
