Recorder's Notes Edwin was the son of Joseph, a cattle dealer & Caroline Swaite of 2 Eyles Buildings, Newtown Rd. He married Caroline Edith Phillips, a servant to a furrier & draper in Hackney & daughter of a Factor in Bartholomew St, in 1888. He worked as a Printer living in Waterloo Place off West St. in 1881 & Charles Place, Cheap St in 1891, with a spell in The Wharf as a Farrier (Kelly's Directory 1887) He was a Blacksmith of Gas House Rd, Newbury when he died, leaving £120 to his wife who arrived again a few years later.
