There is no burial register information available for Ann Ballard.

Stillborn children were not recorded in the burial register, only in the cemetery accounts.

Ann Ballard
c1818-1892
Ann was born in Newbury, Berkshire. She was baptised on the 19th April 1818, at St Nicolas Church, Newbury, the daughter of Lawrence and Mary Geater (surname spelt Gater) nee Blackman) who were married on the 29th July 1811, in East Woodhay, Hampshire (both were from Newbury).
Ann’s father Lawrence was baptised on the 14th September 1788, in Kintbury, Berkshire, the son of John and Mary Geater (nee Langfield) who were married on the 10th October 1787, in Kintbury, Berkshire. Lawrence died aged 88, in 1873, his funeral service was held at St John the Evangelist, Newbury. He was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 8th March.
Ann’s mother Mary was baptised on the 23rd January 1785, at St Nicolas, Newbury, the daughter of Thomas and Christian (spelt Xtian) Blackman. Mary died before 1842. (***Possible death for Mary Geater, December quarter 1841, in Newbury)
Lawrence and Mary had the following children:

William Geater, baptised 14th April 1816, at St Nicolas, Newbury
Twins: George and Thomas Gater, baptised 28th August 1820, at St Nicolas, Newbury (Thomas died aged 2 in 1822, he was buried on the 15th November, at St Nicolas, Newbury)
Charles Gaiter, born 18th May 1822, baptised 20th April 1823 (Wesleyan Methodist)
David, born c1826
Joseph, born c1830
The 1815 census of Newbury records Lawrence Geater (27), Mary (29) and their children, John (3) and Elizabeth (1), living on the west side of Newtown Lane, Newbury, Berkshire.
The 1841 census records Lawrence (55), a Bricklayer, Mary (50), Ann (20), a Bonnet Maker, David (15), a Bricklayer’s Labourer and Joseph (11), living in Newtown Road, Newbury.
Lawrence was a widower by 1842 (***see above for possible death) as records show Lawrence remarried on the 19th March 1842, at St Nicolas Church Newbury. His new wife was Mary Ann Allen (nee Samuells).
Lawrence and Mary Ann had a son Richard, born c1843, in Newbury.
The 1851 census records Ann (33), as a Straw Bonnet Maker, living alone in Chapel Yard, Newbury.

(Thomas Ballard was baptised on the 8th June 1817, in Oare, Berkshire, the son of Thomas and Hannah Ballard (nee Tidbury) who were married on the 25th December 1816, in Bradfield, Berkshire).
The 1861 census records Thomas (43), a General Labourer and Ann (43), a Straw Bonnet Cleaner, living in Dredge’s Yard, Northbrook Street, Newbury.
In 1871 Thomas (53), an Agricultural Labourer and Ann (53), were living at 9 Staple’s Yard, Newbury.
The 1881 census records Ann (63) and Thomas (64), living in Northbrook Place, Newbury. Thomas was recorded as a Gardener.
In 1891 Thomas (73), a General Labourer and Ann (73), were recorded living at 2 Northbrook Place, Newbury.
Ann died aged 73 on the 21st February 1892, she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 24th February.
The 1901 census records Thomas (82), as an inmate in the Newbury Workhouse. He was recorded as a General Labourer and Army Pensioner.
Thomas died aged 84, on the 10th April 1902, in the Newbury Workhouse. He was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 15th April.
