Sarah Mayo
c1815-1892
Sarah Brown was born c1815 in Ramsbury Wiltshire and was the daughter of Robert Brown.
Sarah married John Mayo in 1839

Groom: John Mayo, of Full Age, Bachelor, Occ: Whitesmith of Newbury?
Bride: Sarah Brown, of Full Age, Spinster, Occ: Servant of Newbury?
Groom's Father: John Totty Mayo Occ; Sexton?
Bride's Father: Robert Brown Occ: Labourer?
Witnesses: John Totty Mayo and Jane Mayo?
Both Bride and Groom signed their names
John & Sarah had the following children (all born in Newbury):
George born 1840
??Robert born 1842 buried 15/6/1842 aged 11 days??
Charles Robert born 1845??
Mary Ann born 1847??Alfred born 1851??
John Morris born 1857??
Edward Manser born 1858 buried 8/7/1859 aged 7 months
In 1841 Sarah is recorded living with her husband John and their son George aged 1, in Northbrook Street Newbury.
In 1851 Sarah, John and their family are recorded living in Toomers Yard Newbury.
In 1881 they were recorded living at 13 New Church Almshouses (possibly Raymonds Almshouses) and in 1891 they were recorded living in the parish of St John.
Sarah died in 1892 and was buried on 3rd February in Newtown Road Cemetery
John died in 1895 and was buried 6th September in Newtown Road Cemetery
