Recorder's Notes | Part of headstone found by Mrs P not longer evident. Source of date: Mrs P's records. Blacksmith in Backway Speen & King's Rd, born in Bampton Oxon to a Journeyman blacksmith & came to Cheap St Newbury when he was 2 years old. In 1911 he was a widower living in 4 Kennet Rd Road. Sources: 1861, 1881, 1901 & 1911 census. |
