James Perrett
c1818-1891
James was born in Wiltshire, he was baptised on the 2nd August 1818 in Market Lavington Wiltshire and was the son of Thomas & Sarah Perrett (nee Baish) who married in West Lavington on the 2nd November 1815.
In 1841 James was living with his parents in West Lavington, both he and his father were working as Agricultural Labourers.
By 1851 James was living in Newbury with his wife Elizabeth (Elizabeth Gale, no marriage found) and their children, Pound Street (1851), The Litten (1861), Bartholomew Street (1871), Litten House (1881) and Argyle Road (1891). He was recorded as a Blacksmith in 1851, 1861 and 1891, an Iron Founder’s Labourer in 1871 and a Gardener’s Labourer in 1881.
James & Elizabeth had the following children who were all born in Newbury:

Sarah Ann 1865-1869 (buried as Annie 22/3/1869 in the Newtown Road Cemetery)
James died aged 70 in 1891 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 21st September
His widow Elizabeth died 71 in 1893 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the7th May
