Gabriel Adams
1890-1891
Gabriel was born in the Wantage area of Berkshire, the son of Charles Adams and Annie Adams (nee Ellis) (no birth registration found for Gabriel and no marriage found for his parents)
His father Charles was born c1846, in Ilsley, Berkshire. He was baptised in 1846, in West Ilsley, Berkshire, the son of George and Mary Adams (nee Herridge)
His mother Annie Elizabeth was born c1862 in Seend, Wiltshire.
Annie also had the following children:
Charles ? c1887, in Swindon, Wiltshire (no birth registration found but recorded as Charles Hall in 1901)
Alice Maud Adams, 1893, in Catmore, Berkshire
Annie Elizabeth Adams, 1896, in Catmore
Gerturde Adams, 1900, in Catmore
Mary Adams, 1902, in Catmore
In 1891 Gabriel Adams (1), his father Charles (43), an Agricultural Labourer, his mother Annie (33) and his brother Charles (4), were lodging in Pembroke Road, Newbury, Berkshire.
Gabriel died aged 14 months, on the 9th May 1891, in Pembroke Road Newbury. He was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 12th May.
The 1901 census records Charles (46), an Agricultural Labourer, Annie (36) (recorded as Ellen), Charles Hall (14), an odd lad on farm (recorded as Charles’s stepson), Alice (6), Annie (4) and Gertrude (9 months), living in Lilly Catmore, Berkshire.
The 1911 census records Charles (64), a Farm Labourer, Annie Elizabeth (48), a Charwoman, Alice Maud (18), a Domestic Servant, Annie Elizabeth (15), a Domestic Servant, Gertrude (11) and Mary (9), living at Upper End East Ilsley, Berkshire
