DEATH OF OLD INHABITANT
The death occurred on Sept. 21st of Mrs. Mary Brown, widow of Mr. Ernest Brown, of 20 Jubilee-road, Newbury, aged 81.
She had lived in the same house in Jubilee-road for the past forty years. Her husband, who died three years ago, was employed by the G.W.R.
The funeral took place on Thursday at the Newtown-road Cemetery, the Rev. S.A. Larrett officiating.
The mourners were Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Pocock (cousins), Mr. and Mrs. W. Guy, Mrs. Hammond and Mrs. Randall.
Wreaths were sent by Ernest, Louie and Milly, Sarah, Eunice, Ernest and Frank (Kingsbridge-road); Mr. and Mrs Guy; Arthur, Billy, Joan and Elsie; Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Shaw; Mr. and Mrs. Turton; Mr. and Mrs. Hammond; Mrs. Gallop; Mr. and Mrs. Etherton; Mrs. Hill; Misses Luke; Mrs.. Randall; Neighbours in Jubilee-road.
