Transciption:	Si Marshall (1843 – 1890) Si was born 1843 in Brimpton, the son of Sy Marshall & Rachel Smith. He was baptised 15 April 1843 at St Peter in Brimpton. He was recorded with his parents & siblings living at Brimpton Common in the 1851 census. In the 1861 census Si was recorded with his parents & his younger brother David living in Brinkworth in Wiltshire & he was recorded as a woodman. Si married Jane Guyatt on 23 December 1865 at St Peter in Brimpton. He was recorded as a labourer living in Brimpton. Jane was born circa 1845 in Greenham. In the 1871 census Si & Jane with three sons were living in Wash Common & Si was recorded as a labourer. It appears they had moved around after the marriage as Albert (aged 4) was born in Greenham, James (aged 3) in Brentford in Middlesex & Jabez (aged one) in Ashford Hill. In the 1881 census Si & Jane with eight children were living in Stroud Green, Greenham & Si was recorded as a sawyer & Jane as a laundress. It appears they had lived in Greenham for a number of years as the four youngest children were all born in Greenham. Si died May 1890 and was buried 2 June 1890 at Newtown Road Cemetery. His father Sy was also buried at Newtown Road on 29 March 1883. In the 1891 census Jane with seven children and a lodger was living in Vine Cottage in Greenham & she was recorded as a laundress. The three eldest children were also working, James (aged 22) was a steam sawyer, Jabez (21) a general labourer & Rose (14) a laundress. In the 1901 census Jane with daughter Charlotte (aged 22) & son Si (aged 15) were living at 5 Purvers Cottages in Stroud Green & she was recorded as a laundress. Charlotte was recorded as a laundry maid & Si as an errand boy for a fishmongers. Jane was admitted into Cholsey Asylum on 17 February 1909. She was recorded in the Asylum in the 1911 census. She died in the Asylum on 1 February 1917 & was buried 7 February 1917 at St Mary in Cholsey.
