There is no burial register information available for Annie Eastman.
Only three of the five burial register books still exist as far as we know and these are held at the Berkshire Record Office.
Stillborn children were not recorded in the burial register, only in the cemetery accounts.

Annie Eastman

Annie Eastman

1866-1888

 

Ann (aka Annie) was born in 1866 she was the daughter of William & Ann Church (nee Preston) who married in Newbury in 1859.

William & Ann also had the following children:

Fred born 1959

Thomas born 1861

William born 1863

Frank born 1869

Charles born 1871

Eliza born 1873

 

In both the 1871 and 1881 census Ann was recorded living in Donnington Village with her parents (in 1871 and father in 1881) and siblings, her father William was recorded as a Miller.

Ann’s mother died aged 35 in 1873 she was laid to rest on the 31st August at St Mary the Virgin Shaw-cum-Donnington.

Her father continued working as a Miller, living in Shaw until his death. He died aged 64 in 1903 and was laid to rest on the 20th May at St Mary the Virgin Shaw-cum-Donnington

Ann married (as Annie) John Eastman in Newbury in 1888, in December 1888 she gave birth to a stillborn child, this child was laid to rest (as Unnamed Eastman) in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 10th December. Annie died a week later aged 22 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 19th December 1888.

Annie’s husband John was living at 3 Dothan Place Newbury in 1891, working as a Baker’s Labourer. He remarried in 1892 his 2nd wife was Caroline Powers.

In 1901 John and Caroline were living at 7 Northbrook Place Newbury but by 1911 they had moved to 21 Waterloo Place Carnarvon Street Newbury.

Caroline Eastman died aged 71 1937 in Newbury.

John James Eastman died aged 78 in 1938 in Reading.
