Reginald Heathcote Jeeves

1887-1888

 

Reginald was born in Newbury he was the son of Arthur and Fanny Sarah Jeeves (nee Towse) who were married in Eastbourne Sussex in 1881. Arthur was and Ironmonger’s Assistant, he was born in 1853 in Southampton Hampshire and Fanny was born in 1857 in Horsham Sussex.

Arthur and Fanny also had the following children:

Ross 1882

Ada Margaret 1883

Heathcote 1884 (died 1884 in Sussex)

Herbert Heathcote 1888

Hugh Heathcote 1890

Roy Heathcote 1891

Norah Heathcote 1893 (died 1893 buried in the NRC on the 21st June)

Reginald died aged 10 months on the 2nd March 1888 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 5th March.

The family were living in Newbury by 1887 and at the time of Reginald’s death in 1888 they were recorded living in Granville-terrace, Gloucester Road Newbury. The 1891 records them living in Granville Villas, the 1901 census records them living in Granville Terrace and the 1911 census records them living at 15 Gloucester Road Newbury. 

Both Arthur and Fanny died in Newbury, Arthur died aged 78 in 1931 and Fanny died aged 82 in 1939
