North face of copestone: In Memory of Charlotte, youngest daughter of Charles & Maria Wheeler of Speenhamland/ who died Aug. 31st. 1868 aged 33 years./ After a lingering illness of Pulmonary Disease./ "Her end was peace".

MRS. CHARLES WHEELER, of Speenhamland, whose death we record today, is remarkable as having been the oldest member of the Newbury Congregational Church, having been received as far back as 1825; also as never having ridden in a railway train, and as we believe never having seen such a thing.
