Recorder's Notes 1. Thomas Smith was a Whitesmith, reaching Journeyman level. He married 2.Mary Ann Morris from Leicestershire in 1835 & had 7 children. They first lived in Granger's Yard off Northbrook St before moving to 37, Jack St. In later years they lived with daughter Allice, a dressmaker, in 8, Raymond's Almshouses in Newtown Rd. 3. John Smith, their son, was first an errand boy who became a Journeyman housepainter living in 4 Jack St with his wife, Annie & children. After his death, Annie & children moved to 1, Marsh St until 1901 when she lived as a Cook in Marylebone with son Tom, a Gas Fitter, & his family. Source: Ancestry records.
